Fredrik Högberg's concerto "Hitting the First Bass" is programmed with Styffe and Tromsø Chamber Orchestra under the baton of Kolbjørn Holthe, in Tromsø, Norway. A CD-recording of Högberg's concerto for SIMAX Classics is also planned.

Dan Styffe 13-14/8 Sitting in the jury for the Solo Competition. 16/8 recital - Nordic muisc - among others Rolf Martinssons Basic Instinct and world premiere of a new piece by Norwegian Marcus Paus. Other composers are Hauta-Aho, Guettler and Hagen. Styffe also performs various solo pieces by Hauta-Aho and Scelsi during the closing consert of the festival, the 18th of August.
Styffe performs Passione Amorose together with Enrico Fagone

July 28, in Padova, Italy Dan Styffe will perform Bottesini´s Concerto for two Basses "Passione Amorose" together with Italian bassist Enrico Fagone and Orhestra di Padova e del Veneto, (OPV). The concert is called "Le Passioni del Gasparo" and is a part of the international Music Festival - Festival "Gasparo da Saló", (54 Estate musicale del Garda). Fagone will also play a Gasparo bass owned by the Gasparo Foundation in Saló and Dan will play the Gasparo bass he uses owned by Dextra Musica, Sparebankstiftelsen.

New sonata

Norwegian Composer Marcus Paus has written a new Sonata for Styffe and pianist Ingrid Andsnes. The world premiere will take place during the Vinterfestspillene i Bergstaden, Røros, and Styffe will perform in various concerts throughout the festival.
